The First Aid at Work Annual Refresher course, delivered by our sister company Caring For Care, is aimed at organisations and their staff who work with individuals of all ages, including children and young people, and who have already completed either the First Aid at Work – Level 3 Award or the Emergency First Aid at Work – Level 2 training and are due an annual refresher.

Since health and safety legislation is regularly updated, first aid training must be refreshed under UK law to ensure individuals remain competent, confident, and up to date with current best practice. This course is suitable for staff working in education, childcare, public service, and other workplace environments where first aid provision is required.

This course is delivered exclusively for employer and group bookings only and is not available for individual enrolment. It is suitable for a wide range of settings, including early years provision, childcare services, schools, sports clubs, and family care environments where paediatric first aid training is required.

Held over three hours, this course provides expert face-to-face training that recaps key first aid responsibilities, including assessing an emergency, performing CPR, using an AED, managing unconscious casualties, and responding to common emergencies such as choking, shock, seizures, burns, and bleeding. It also reinforces safe casualty handling and the importance of accurate incident reporting and documentation.

This refresher is designed to maintain confidence and competence in responding to workplace emergencies across a range of environments, including those involving children, young people, and adults.

Upon successful completion, learners will receive either a non-accredited Caring for Care Certificate or an accredited Qualsafe Award. Both options are valid for two years.
