The Level 3 Award in Education and Training is a nationally recognised introductory teaching qualification, designed for anyone looking to become a teacher, trainer, or instructor in adult care, health or social care settings. It provides the core knowledge and practical skills needed to plan, deliver, and assess learning in a variety of settings, including further education and workplace training.
If you are considering a career in teaching or training, or want to deliver learning within your current role, this course is a great starting point to support you in a career in care. It is suitable for both beginners and professionals who already have some experience of working in the education sector, and employers often use it to develop in-house trainers and upskill their teams.
You don’t need prior teaching experience to enrol, but you must be aged 19 or over. The course is designed as a starting point for anyone looking to take their first steps into teaching and training, so a basic level of English and Maths is usually recommended to support your learning and assessments.
The course is delivered over eight weeks and is flexible so you can complete your learning alongside any other commitments, like working in the sector to enhance your learning or developing any further skills to improve your career or further study opportunities.
You will cover key areas such as roles and responsibilities in education, inclusive teaching approaches, and assessment methods. The course also helps you develop practical skills in planning lessons, delivering sessions, and evaluating your teaching practice.
The course costs £190 per person, excluding VAT.
