The First Aid at Work Requalification Training course , delivered by our sister company Caring For Care, is designed to support organisations with staff members who have already completed the Level 3 Training course and are qualified first aiders but need to requalify to confidently use their first aid skills at work. With both hands-on demonstrations and practical exercises to help build confidence in responding to emergencies, if you work with children, young people and adults and your certification as a first aider is due to expire, this course is for you.

The course is held over two days and can be offered either face-to-face or as a blended learning programme, and is fully compliant with the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981. It revisits key emergency response skills needed for working with a range of individuals, including CPR, injury management and incident assessment whilst updating you on current best practices and regulatory changes. To continue acting as designated first aiders, you must requalify during your certificate’s validity period.

The course covers modules which include the Law relating to first aid and dealing with a range of medical emergencies, including unconscious, choking, shock, minor and major injuries, poisoning, anaphylactic shock, stroke and heart attack, and epilepsy, asthma and diabetes. This First Aid at Work Requalification Training course is suitable for employees who are current first aiders and need to renew their certification, managers and supervisors who are responsible for ensuring health and safety at work and individuals who have previous completed the Level 3 Award but need to update their skills and knowledge.

By completing the course, you will be confident in providing care in emergencies, meet legal requirements and help your organisation by ensuring your staff’s knowledge remains current and compliant with health and safety standard regulations.

Upon successful completion of the course, you will receive a renewed First Aid at Work certificate, which will be valid for three years. There are two accreditation options for this certificate: the non-accredited Caring for Care Certificate or the accredited Qualsafe Award.

This course is not available for individual purchase and is delivered as group training only, with a maximum of 12 delegates per session for employer bookings.
