The combined first aid at work and paediatric first aid training course is a comprehensive Level 3 course that combines First Aid at Work (FAW) and Paediatric First Aid (PFA) into one programme. It equips you with the skills to respond to emergencies involving both adults and children, from minor injuries to life-threatening situations. On completion, you will receive a recognised certificate valid for three years.
If you work with or care for both adults and children, this course is ideal. It is particularly suited to teachers, childcare practitioners, workplace first aiders, and employers wanting to ensure staff are fully trained and compliant with safety regulations.
No previous experience is required. The course is suitable for beginners as well as those refreshing their knowledge. You will be guided through both theory and practical elements, making it accessible for all learners.
The course is delivered over three days. It includes a mix of classroom-based learning and practical, hands-on training to ensure you feel confident applying your skills in real-life situations. We can deliver this training either on-site at your business, as long as you are located in the UK, or we have our own venues in the Midlands. We offer Zoom sessions for theory only.
You will learn essential life-saving skills including CPR, using an AED, choking response, and how to treat injuries such as burns, fractures, and bleeding. The course also covers managing medical emergencies like asthma attacks, seizures, and allergic reactions for both adults and children.
