When you enrol with us, we need to collect and use some information about you so we can provide your training and support you throughout your apprenticeship.

We take your privacy seriously and handle your personal information in line with applicable data protection legislation.

What information might we collect?

Depending on your programme and circumstances, this may include information such as:

  • Your date of birth
  • Your employment details
  • Your qualifications and previous learning
  • Your apprenticeship and progress records
  • Your assessment and achievement information
  • Information about your learning support needs
  • Information needed to confirm your eligibility for funding

Some information may be more sensitive and will only be collected and used where there is a valid reason for doing so.

Why do we need your information?

We may use your information to:

  • Enrol you onto your programme
  • Deliver your training
  • Track your progress and achievement
  • Provide appropriate learning support
  • Communicate with you about your programme
  • Meet funding and awarding organisation requirements
  • Meet legal and regulatory requirements
  • Help us improve our services

We will only use your information where we have an appropriate legal basis for doing so.

Who might your information be shared with?

Where necessary, information may be shared with relevant organisations involved in delivering, funding, assessing or regulating your programme.

This could include awarding organisations, funding bodies, regulators or appropriate support services.

We only share information where there is a valid reason to do so and in line with applicable privacy requirements.

Keeping your information safe

We take steps to protect your personal information and expect you to do the same.

Please don’t share:

  • Your passwords
  • Personal information about other people
  • Confidential workplace information
  • Personal information about children, young people, patients or service users
  • Sensitive information in inappropriate online spaces

This is particularly important when using social media, online learning platforms or AI tools.
