Roots For Achievers: A Journey to Become the UK’s First Green Training Provider

Explore this new initiative from Impact Futures, The Childcare Company and FRFA to support sustainability, while celebrating apprenticeship and training success.

Impact Futures, The Childcare Company and FRFA have partnered with Woodland Trust to achieve a unique mission: to plant one tree for every learner who completes their training in 2025. The aim is to become the first green training provider in the UK.

The tree-planting initiative, called Roots for Achievers, is already under way, with several trees already planted. Not only will it help the environment, but it’s also a wonderful way to celebrate the accomplishments of our incredible apprentices and trainees.

The Mission

For every learner who completes their apprenticeship, bootcamp, or training course, a tree will be planted. It’s as simple as that.

What's our why?

The Impact Group cares about sustainability. Our learners and clients do too. Most environmental issues, such as deforestation, come from the unsustainable use of natural resources that will not last long-term if we don’t act now. The best solutions are the ones that enable a more sustainable way of operating. Impact Futures, The Childcare Company and FRFA recognise that it is essential for us to help the environment as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), as well as to incentivise the students and organisations we serve.

Leading the Charge for Change

Trees are essential for the health and wellbeing for future generations. They capture carbon, and help to battle the effects of climate change. The UK has vowed to become carbon Net Zero by 2050. Impact Futures, The Childcare Company and FRFA are passionate about helping to make this a reality. Our combined organisation aims to become the first green training provider in the UK. We intend to create a heightened awareness of sustainability efforts within the education sector.

Benefits for Learners
