This will suit you if you are:
A new or existing member of staff working in a childcare setting under the supervision of an Early Years Educator. For example, entry-level childcare roles include a nursery and/or childminding assistant. All learning complies with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

The Level 2 Early Years Practitioner qualification is specifically designed to develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required to progress careers and enable people to thrive while working in a childcare environment.

By the end of the course, learners will be fully equipped with everything needed to take on new responsibilities, work confidently amongst more senior childcare colleagues, and provide peace of mind for parents and families.

Completing the course earns learners a Level 2 TQUK Diploma in Early Years - once the End-Point Assessment (EPA) is passed.

Early Years Educator

Duration: 18 months including End-Point Assessment

Suitable for: Experienced childcare assistants and those wishing to become room leaders or manage Early Years provision.

Level 5

Early Years Lead Practitioner

Duration: 21 months including End-Point Assessment

Suitable for: Senior childcare professionals, such as Room Leaders, Early Years Leads, Deputy Managers or Managers.

Upon completion, you’ll be officially awarded your Level 2 TQUK Diploma in Early Years., once you achieve your passing grade at the End-Point Assessment (EPA).

Early Years childcare is an extremely rewarding vocation. When caring for very young children, it is imperative that you possess the correct knowledge and skills to ensure a child’s comfort and safety, as well as peace of mind for parents and family that their children are in capable hands.

This programme is specifically designed to develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours you need to progress in your career, and thrive while working in a childcare environment.

The Level 2 apprenticeship qualification is the academic equivalent to a GCSE.

As a learner, nothing at all. As an employer, course costs will be covered by levy funding. If your business is not a levy payer, 95% of course costs will be covered by government funding.

The remaining 5% of the £4000 fee works out at just £200. For the value this will add to your CV and your team at work, the return on your employer’s small investment is a cost effective way for you to help boost your employer’s business as a whole.

While a Level 2 higher national diploma is a foundational-level course, achieving any qualification takes work and dedication. That said, whether you are a learner or a business, The Childcare Company will provide all the resources and support you could ever need. We’ll work alongside you to ensure your success.

The Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship runs for a total of 16 months. However, you do have the opportunity to finish earlier, depending on your preferred pace of working.

The delivery of the course is a blend of online and in-person learning.
