Data & Compliance Officer Vacancy

Location: Slough (Temporarily remote then hybrid)

About the role

We are recruiting for a Data & Compliance Officer to join our Audit & Compliance department to process accurate and timely data for all learners in time for monthly ESFA submission. The successful candidate will carry out compliance checks on documentation and report any non-compliant actions to the Audit and Compliance Manager.

There will be occasions for interaction with other internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement that mitigates any financial Education Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) and other funding stream clawback. ESFA funding rules and other external guidance documents will form the foundation of data entry and audit checks.

This role will be a mixture of remote working and 2-3 days per week in our Slough Head Office per week.

The successful candidate will have data entry experience, an understanding of the training sector and the importance of adhering to funding rules.

As a Development Coach at Impact Futures and The Childcare Company, you will join a team of dedicated professionals providing apprentices and qualifications to learners in a range of sectors across England.   • Audit enrolment documentation prior to data entry on PICS' Individualised Learner Record (ILR) to ensure ESFA compliance
  • Process data through PICS and Smart Assessor for our apprenticeships, Adult Education Budget (AEB) courses, traineeships, Advanced Learner Loans and commercial learners, including new starters, achievers, early withdrawals and change requests
  • Ensure all ILR data corresponds with learner documentation
  • Update ILR data with any changes through the learner’s programme
  • Apprenticeship Service data entry for all apprentices
  • Support with apprenticeship service data lock report
  • ILR data error checks to ensure quality of data is maintained
  • Keep up to date with ESFA funding rules
  • Support with other tasks as directed by Data Manager

About you

You will:

  • Have exceptional attention to detail
  • Have a good understanding of ESFA and other funding rules
  • Have data entry experience
  • Have provblem-solving and analytical skills
  • Be solution-driven
  • Have effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Have experience of working with PICS or a similar Management Information System
  • Have good ICT skills including proficiency of the Microsoft Office package (including Excel)
  • Have experience of operating in a paperless environment
