Audit & Compliance Officer Vacancy

Location: Slough, hybrid role (1-2 days in office per week)

About the role

We are currently recruiting for an Audit & Compliance Officer to join our Audit & Compliance team. You will be required to carry out internal audit checks on documentation and report any non-compliant actions to the Director of Audit & Compliance. The successful candidate will also process accurate and timely data daily for all learners in time for monthly Education Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) submission.

There will be occasions for interaction with other internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement that mitigates any financial  (ESFA) and other funding stream clawback. ESFA Funding Rules and other external guidance documents will form the foundation of audit checks and data entry and audit checks.

This role will be a mixture of remote working and 1/2 days in our Slough head office per week.

As an Audit & Compliance Officer at Impact Futures and The Childcare Company, you will join a team of dedicated professionals providing apprentices and qualifications to learners in a range of sectors across England. As an Audit & Compliance officer, some of your duties will be to:

  • Conduct audit and compliance checks for all onboarded learners to ensure ESFA compliancy
  • Complete compliance checks for post-onboarding processes, for change of learner requests, additional learning support, achievers, withdrawals and other areas of post-on-boarding
  • Carry out compliance checks for quality of delivery: progress reviews, off-the-job training and other aspects of quality
  • Ensure all change of learner requests are audited and processed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Report non-compliance to the Director of Audit & Compliance
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure learners are compliance is maintained
  • Carry out monthly Additional Learning Support audits in line with audit schedule
  • Keep up to date with ESFA funding rules for all funding streams (apprenticeships, traineeships and advanced learner loans)
  • Support with other tasks as required in the day-to-day operations of the Audit & Compliance team

About you

You will:

  • Have experience of undertaking compliance checks
  • Have a good understanding of ESFA/ other funding rules, including how they apply to the role
  • Have data entry experience
  • Have exceptional attention to detail
  • Have data entry experience
  • Have effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Have experience of working with PICS or a similar Management Information System
  • Be an experienced Microsoft Office user and hold Excel skills
  • Have experience of operating in a paperless environment
